Spring 2007
Updated 3/9/07
Ok, I slacked a little last year on the website and the blog.
Sue me, we were busy! I'm trying to get on top of shit early
this year. Just as Steve and I have been practicing for
two months already. TWO MONTHS! The early schedule for summer
is up, though still empty. Stay tuned....
You can also check
out our MySpace site at
www.myspace.com/fpsband.
Also look for the Implantz down on the pier this summer! That's right,
Steve and I have rejoined the Pud Pounder to stir some serious summer
rockin'! You can check out the Implantz MySpace (maintained by Pete) site at
www.myspace.com/theimplantz.
So come down to the beach, hang out with some tunes, and get
sunburnt! (or at least burnt!)
Background
For those unaware, For Pete’s Sake is a duet with Steve
Dunphy(guitar) and Bob Desjardins (bass). It’s named
after Pete Witham who left the Implantz (a band with the three
of us) for greater musical aspirations with
Spookie Daly Pride. Steve and I started
playing out together last summer in
Old Orchard Beach, just for something to do while Pete does his
thang on VH1. We play a unique mix of classic rock, classic country,
and alternative music. Come to one of our shows, and we'll play something you like!

2005 Demo
The demo was recorded over two weekends at the Desjardins residence in Saco, ME.
We tracked with an Alesis ADAT Type II 8 track recorder, then mixed down to a
Fostex D-5 2 track master DAT recorder. It came out pretty good! When we burnt
the cd at WMPG studios in Portland, ME, we picked up a lot of hiss. I will try to
burn the master cd again at some point in the future.
Here
are the songs on the demo:
